My Leopard gecko never comes out of his hide. What do i do?

Ok, i got a 1 year old normal Leopard gecko at Hoffmans Reptile Shop 1 week and 3 days ago. he never comes out of his hide!!!! the only times are to go to the bathroom and eat, then he rushes back to the hide. i know they are supposed to not come out for the first few days to get used to his new habitat and stress, but its almost been 2 weeks. should he be over this now? he doesnt even come out at night either! he is healthy and eats right, but what do i do?
