How did greg hoffman make saw 4 if he already died before that?

did he already have all the saw movies written before he died? or did the company keep his name as a pen name for respect./ and if he didnt make the rest of the saw movies thats bullsht because the first 3 saw movies were genious till it went generic downhill turned more into a horror with lots of gore, than a phycological thriller.
